Cornwall has many great events and festivals throughout the year due to the counties popularity with holiday visitors. During the summer months and half term breaks events are on pretty much every day and provide great fun memorable days and evenings out.

Falmouth Oyster Festival 15 October 2009 to 18 October 2009 Celebrates the start of the oyster season the Festival has a broad appeal and is a must for all oyster, seafood and marine heritage enthusiasts - come and enjoy lunch and savour the atmosphere! Boscastle Walking Week 05 October 2009 to 09 October 2009 A ‘Pick and Mix’ of walks and activities in the Boscastle area. Boscastle Food, Arts and Crafts Festival 03 October 2009 to 04 October 2009 A Festival with lashings of fresh food, harbour fun and evening frolics.

Royal Cornwall Show

Location: Wadebridge
Date/Time: Thursday 4th June to Saturday 6th June
Description: Three day show event includes trade stands, exhibitions, displays and more.


Sterts Open Air Theatre - Gonamena

Location: Nr Liskeard
Date/Time: Saturday 6th, 10th, 11th and 12th June
Description: A timeless story of a Cornish family and community living during the mining boom of the 1800's.


Phoenix 100 Festival

Location: Minions and Liskeard
Date/Time: Sunday 7th June and Saturday 13th June
Description: Celebration of the past and present communities of Caradon Hill.


World Ocean Day at the Blue Reef Aquarium

Location: Newquay

Description: An annual event intended to increase awareness of the marine environment.


Squashbox Theatre - The Sea Show

Location: At different theatre locations on different dates, some of the locations are Calstock, Falmouth, Launceston and Wadebridge

2009 Cornwall Summer Bear Fair

Liskeard Carnival Week

Location: Liskeard
Date/Time: Starts on Sunday 21st to Saturday 27th June
Description: Week long carnival starts with music in the park on the Sunday. Different events during the week like ball race and floral dances. The last day Saturday 27th has a traditional carnival procession.


Kit Hill Midsummer Bonfire

Description: Annual event, the fire is lit at 22:00

Gribbin Daymark Open Day
