Perranporth is a compact holiday resort just three miles north east of St Agnes on the North Cornwall coast that draws thousands of surfers all year round due to the long ranks of rollers coming in off the Atlantic.
Perranporth lies at the southern end of Perran Beach with three miles of sand dotted with caves, natural rock arches and turf covered dunes. The area was once dedicated to the mining of tin and copper.
The Lowender Peran Festival is an annual event in Perranporth which is a celebration of all things Cornish and Celtic with workshops, displays and concerts over five days.
Scenic flights can be taken over the Cornish Coast from the old World War II airfield at Perranporth Aerodrome.
